Pastoral Visiting
This Sunday in church we are focusing on the pastoral care we offer to our congregation and the people living in the parish. During our morning service on Sunday 17th February at 9.30am all aspects of pastoral care will be shared. A new poster will be available in church to explain what we do.
Confirmation
Last Sunday, 17th June, we welcomed Bishop Paul, the Bishop of Kirkstall, to St Mary’s. He confirmed 5 young members of our congregation during a service full of joy. If you were standing too close to the font you might have been splashed by the candidates as they remembered their baptism promises. We hope all those who attended were filled with the happiness and joy of the occasion from the silence of the prayers at the laying on of hands to the banging and shaking of the percussion instruments in the last hymn. Of course the lunchtime party was enjoyed and the food provided an amazing selection of food from across the world. Thank you to everyone who made this Sunday a special occasion
